I’m a lifestyle blogger, a content creator, a brand strategist, and an event host. That is my product. But how do you build a business around your product? Well, you work it. I love Nashville, and I am a lifestyle blogger. I am building a business around my brand through a series of streams of income online. One being blogging. I know a TON about blogging, and while I still have more to learn, it was awesome to share and teach the foundation of blogging to a class of fifteen eager and energetic emerging brands. Here’s what I learned by hosting my first workshop. That’s right! 15 Folks came out to see me on the strength of the work I’ve done online.
Here’s what I learned by hosting my first workshop:
- You know so much more than you think you do. People need to know your perspective and your experience
- Getting in front of an audience and teaching your passion to others helps you refine and develop your passion so much more
- Face to Face interaction will all be the best way to pitch your brand. Your audience and potential clients need to know you are a real person with a story. Online/digitally is great, but there’s nothing like face to face interaction.
Jason Luntz was my partner and I am glad to have had his support in my very first event. He is very resourceful and knowledgeable, complimenting my branding and blogging expertise. We made a great time, and we look forward to hosting this type of event in the not too distant future.
I created a survey to capture feedback from my first workshop. Yep, that’s right, I’m not here to just hustle up money, but to build a lifestyle brand, a business to support it, and a positive relationship with potential clients.
Here’s some of the feedback from the ‘Begin Blogging Workshop’
