Right on time for the day of love, Valentines Day 2017 on Nashvillesocialbutterfly.com will be spent introducing you to Nashville brands that I love that incorporate the word love in their brands, as well as their product. Read on and I’ll get you connected.
Founded from the love of music, Spreadluv is a brand that has their intentions set in a positive manner with their tagline “We Do It For The Culture.” Co-Founders Brian Sexton and Lonnell Matthews have proven just that with their string of artist tribute concerts. Using Nashville creative artists to bring to life covers of some of the top hip-hop artist including Outkast, Kanye West, and Missy Elliott. When not managing Spreadluv, Brian and Lonnell spend their time managing Beats and Brushes, as well as serving the public in community development and affordable housing efforts. This isn’t the first time I’ve featured SpreadLuv. Check out my review last year of their Spread Luv 1996 event.
Bonuts anyone? No, I’m not going nuts. I really am saying Bonuts. If you try Bonuts, you really will go nuts. (Original Rhyme). You will only know what a Bonut is if you’ve eaten at Nashville food truck turned retail storefront Biscuit Love. Located in the heart of Nashville’s Gulch, I can tell you first hand a Bonut is a yummy mildly sweet and filling cross between a biscuit and a donut. The lines to be seated are usually wrapped around the corner because Biscuit Love is a tourist treat and a favorite among locals. Not only are the Bonuts delicious, but so are the other breakfast foods and mimosas. Be sure to get a picture in front of the Nashville sign when you are there.
Located off 40W right before the entrance of Natchez Trace lies Loveless Cafe is known for a good hearty homemade style breakfast. Famous for their biscuits it is my favorite stop before a long lazy drive down “The Trace.” The schedule is get up early and have a nice hot cup of coffee. Drive down West End away from town all the way to Highway 100, stop at Loveless and have a hearty breakfast. More coffee. Then a lazy slow drive down Natchez traces that winds through southern Tennessee and Mississippi at a slow pace of 55 miles per hour. Enjoy. Hug a tree. Thank the trees.
Bring all the hottest acts in Hip-Hop and R&B to Nashville, Lovenoise has been rocking Nashville for at least the last 20 years that I can remember. From underground locations to full on outdoor concerts, its going to be exciting to see what Lovenoise has in store for Nashville. Lovenoise is what brings artists such as Tweet, Bilal, Kehlani, Juicy J, Ro James Fantasia, Maxwell, among others. In addition Lovenoise is avid in the community developing and shaping the urban music scene right before our eyes.
