Happy 2017 Everyone!
It’s been an exciting entry into 2017, from Mariah Carey’s performance fiasco, #N-ggerNavy on Twitter, Our incoming immature Twitter Troll President-Elect, and saying Farewell to the Obamas. Not to mention all the Love being shown to the Black men and women the performing arts. After the year 2016, we all experienced, I know we need this positive mojo to keep us pushing through this first quarter of 2017.
This month on the blog I decided that I would feature a few of Nashville’s hottest Trainers to help you all out with your New Years resolutions. While I don’t believe in New Year, New You (you can become a new you whenever one wants), I do believe in accountability partners and support to help one transition into the person you want to become. I am not the biggest fitness person now, but as a former athlete, I love that feeling after you have exercised. The endorphin rush, as well as the health benefits, are unmatched.
Follow the blog this month as I feature Nashville Trainers and their personal training styles. I believe a healthy lifestyle is not a one size fits all and that you have to find the approach that works for you. In addition to their wealth of knowledge, these black men also happen to be very easy on the eyes. I asked them to tell me why they are trainers because I like understanding a person’s story. My goal is that someone is inspired and orders any of the trainer’s services and reaches their healthy living goals.
Later this month, I’m going to the Opera sponsored by the Nashville Opera (thanks, Katie Arata <3). I’ve never attended an Opera before so I’m doing the research for you to figure it out and make it less intimidating or unknown. This month’s Opera feature is a provocative opera called “Three Way.” Its sounds stunningly progressive, and I’m all for it. I have so many questions about Opera and the style of music What do you wear to the Opera? Will I understand the music? All these questions I’ll answer and more on my follow up post about Preparation for the Opera and the Nashville Opera “Three Way.”
I have a piece about what all I’ve been up to so we can catch up, a piece on wealth and legacy, and a vocabulary list for a Trump presidency (and there will be a test) — all coming to the blog this January-February 2017.
